Milk and Dates

Milk and Dates is a new drink inspired by an old North African tradition of blending Milk with Dates.
Hearts and Minds were tasked with refreshing the brand, and positioning them for a broader audience. Once the logo was developed and the brand tone of voice/personality decided, we were to then work on packaging across five main SKUs and develop both consumer and business facing marketing collateral items.
After consumer research and a review of category trends, we determined that the UK palette wasn’t very used to dates as a flavour. Which was a shame, because dates are a powerful superfood. They naturally sweeten whilst also offering a complex nutritional profile.
Because the founders’ recipe keeps all of the nutrition intact, and they only use the highest quality organic ingredients, we realised that Milk and Dates’ most powerful message was in fact ‘naturally sweet.’ With no added sugar, all the health benefits of dates, and milk from an organic dairy farm, Milk and Date is a healthy alternative to flavoured milks, soft drinks and even snacks.
We gave the brand a wholesome, young look and feel which brought the organic dairy farm to the forefront and made the brand more friendly with a vibrant colour palette. The packaging for each SKU was carefully crafted by our designers, with individualised ingredient elements and colour palettes used in each item.
